American Gypsum Releases Lightweight Wallboard Products

DALLAS, Texas, March 7, 2011 - American Gypsum announced today it has successfully developed a line of lightweight gypsum wallboard panels. The new LightRocTM lightweight gypsum wallboard products are significantly lighter in weight than traditional 1/2" drywall.

The LightRocTM product line makes installation faster and easier than traditional gypsum drywall. Additionally, LightRocTM panel products are the only lightweight drywall panels in the industry to have earned the GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified® status and GREENGUARD Children & SchoolsSM Certification.

The LightRocTM product line is now available in the Mountain, South and Southeast regions. The product is available in a width of 48 inches and lengths of 8, 10, and 12 foot.
