American Gypsum’s M-Bloc® interior gypsum panel consists of a moisture and fire resistant core encased in a mold resistant 100% recycled paper, purple on the face side and sturdy brown liner paper on the back side. M-Bloc® is highly defiant to the growth of mold and mildew, scoring a 8 per ASTM D 3273. The face paper is folded around the long edges to reinforce and protect the core, with the ends being square-cut and finished smooth. Long edges of the panels are tapered, allowing joints to be reinforced and concealed with a joint compound system.

Often referred to as “green board”, AquaBloc® is a specially processed product, intended to provide a moisture resistant base for the adhesive application of ceramic or plastic tile and plastic-faced wall panels in wet areas, e.g., tub and shower surrounds, bathrooms, powder rooms, kitchens, laundry, and utility rooms.
This gypsum board has a uniquely tapered and slightly rounded edge to help minimize ridging and beading, but otherwise performs identical to traditional drywall. This unique edge design helps to neutralize the effects of slight gypsum panel or stud misalignments, joint imperfections, and damaged board edges.
1/2” Ceiling Board is specifically formulated to meet the need for a lower weight ceiling panel with increased integrity in its gypsum core, making its sag resistance equivalent to 5/8" type X wallboard. For interior ceilings where framing is spaced up to 24”o/c, Ceiling Board is the ideal choice, especially when water-based textures are to be used.
A water-resistant product designed for attachment to exterior side-wall framing as an underlayment for various exterior siding materials such as wood, metal or vinyl siding, masonry veneer, stucco, shingles, etc. The panel is manufactured with a wax-treated, water-resistant core faced with water-repellent paper on both face and back surfaces and long edges.
The ideal surface material for sheltered exterior ceiling applications with indirect exposure to the weather such as carports, breezeways, open porches, covered parking areas, walkways and marquees. The panel contains a non-combustible gypsum core, enhanced for additional sag resistance with its long edges being tapered, and ends being square-cut and finished smooth.
This 1" thick panel is designed for use in elevators, stairwells, and area separation wall assemblies. Its fire-resistant type X gypsum core is encased in a moisture resistant green face and back paper.
M-Bloc® Shaft Liner panels consist of a fire-resistant type X gypsum core that is encased in a mold, mildew and moisture resistant 100% recycled purple colored face and back paper.
Often referred to as “blue board”, this tapered edge product has a blue absorptive face paper that is designed to permit troweled on veneer plaster systems to form a strong bond with the face of the panel.
This square edged product is designed to be laminated with a wide variety of decorative finishes for use as wall panels in modular construction or manufactured housing.
